In the redesign of the Desert Vista High School website, my UX design process involved a meticulous examination of user needs through interviews with students and parents. This user-centric approach revealed challenges in accessing announcements and news, prompting a strategic restructuring of the information architecture. Leveraging color theory, the chosen palette of c99700 and 0c2340 aimed to evoke school spirit and professionalism, contributing to a visually cohesive design. Two low-fidelity wireframes were meticulously crafted to showcase an improved layout, prioritizing essential information and enhancing user navigation.
Functionality issues were identified, particularly non-working links, emphasizing the critical importance of a seamless and trustworthy user experience. The project underscored the dynamic nature of design considerations, intertwining user feedback, design principles, and functionality to deliver an enhanced, user-friendly Desert Vista High School website.
